Nestled into the foothills of Marin County, the design of this family ranch compound draws inspiration from the agrarian structures of the area. A breezeway linking the main house, garage, and office tower frames the courtyard and offers protection from the sun and afternoon winds. Beyond the courtyard lie lush terraces landscaped with kitchen and cutting flower gardens. The various buildings share structural elements of exposed joists and wooden ceilings and a material palette of standing-seam metal roofing, board and batten siding, and board-formed concrete.
